Four days in the hospital is more than enough, as far as Pepper is concerned. Her vital signs are stable. Her blood work is as normal as it’s going to get. She's going to have to learn to live with the effects of Extremis eventually.
In the meantime, Stark Industries is beginning to implode from the rumors circulating about her condition.
Pepper needs to go back to work.
